Dr. Altshuler arrives at the Fairfax office following fellowship training at Johns Hopkins Medicine and residency at the University of Florida College of Medicine. His clinical background includes a focus on immunotherapy, molecular profiling, and gastrointestinal cancers, supported by a research portfolio that earned him the McGlothlin Foundation Fellows to Faculty Award and the Linda Rubin Fellowship in Pancreatic Cancer Research.

Timothy McCarthy, a medical oncologist at the Fairfax location, noted that the hire addresses the rising demand for oncology services across Fairfax County. Dr. Altshuler joins a multidisciplinary team at a practice recently ranked as the top physician group in Virginia by Castle Connolly Top Doctors.
