The platform integrates directly into the existing PVFARM workflow, enabling teams to model specific manufacturer components—including battery containers, inverters, and transformers—alongside road strategies and medium-voltage collection topologies. By automating these variables, the software aims to solve the bottleneck where developers often struggle to find optimal site utility amidst mounting project complexity.
The tool emerged from a beta testing program involving over 80 companies, including Sun2O. Vatan Kumar, VP of Development Engineering at Sun2O, noted that the software provides a distinct advantage by allowing teams to evaluate site challenges and equipment constraints early in the development cycle. According to Maksim Markevich, CTO of PVFARM, the core philosophy behind the release is to prioritize exploration over speed, giving teams the data to make informed decisions before reaching the final design stage. With the International Energy Agency identifying energy storage as the fastest-growing power technology, the platform offers a way to manage the rising demand for rapid, high-precision site planning.
