Limbach Holdings Faces Legal Scrutiny After Earnings Miss

A 31% shortfall in second-quarter earnings and a sharp reduction in full-year guidance have triggered a securities investigation into Limbach Holdings. Law firm Levi & Korsinsky is now examining whether the company provided investors with misleading information regarding project timing and margin pressures before its August 4 disclosure.

Limbach Holdings reported second-quarter adjusted earnings of $0.64 per share, falling significantly short of the $0.93 consensus estimate. While revenue climbed 21.9% year-over-year to $173.5 million, the figure failed to meet market expectations of $177.3 million. The company blamed the performance on intense competitive pressures and the integration of lower-margin project work, which contributed to a decline in net income and gross margins.

Management also lowered its full-year Adjusted EBITDA guidance, cutting the target range to $78-$84 million—a reduction of up to $16 million from previous projections. Levi & Korsinsky is currently evaluating whether Limbach adequately disclosed these operational headwinds to shareholders. Investors who incurred losses following the stock price decline are being encouraged to provide documentation for a potential claim, with the firm noting that participation involves no upfront costs or mandatory court appearances.
