The Orange EV Cares Scholarship arrives as the company expands its regional footprint, turning its Kansas City headquarters into a hub for electric terminal truck and fast-charger production. Mathisen noted that the financial aid serves as a direct investment in the team members who have driven the firm’s growth since its 2012 inception. To qualify, applicants must maintain a 2.5 GPA and demonstrate financial need, with cycles opening each spring and fall through the KCKCC Foundation.
Beyond the academic fund, the company is deepening its campus ties by serving as a Clubhouse Sponsor for the Blue Devil Golf Classic. This annual fundraiser supports student-athletes across seven programs, covering essential costs from travel to facility upgrades. Mike Crouch, executive director of the KCKCC Foundation, praised the partnership, citing the company’s commitment to student success as a vital resource for the community college.
