The 10-week paid program offers a mix of professional development and hands-on training, culminating in OSHA 30 certification. Participants gain exposure to specialized roles including utility and production mechanics, operations specialists, and environmental compliance technicians. By collaborating with Hopeworks, a local organization focused on youth career development, the program helps residents navigate a sector often overlooked by job seekers.

Myles Jefferson, a 2023 graduate, serves as a benchmark for the program’s success. After completing his training, Jefferson secured a position at the Evesham Municipal Utilities Authority before transitioning to a role as a utility mechanic at PSE&G. His career progression highlights the program's effectiveness in providing the credentials and confidence necessary to enter the competitive utility market. Since its launch, the initiative has supported over 50 participants, fostering a pipeline of skilled professionals essential for maintaining New Jersey’s water and wastewater infrastructure.
