Tres Picosos Burritos Hit Shelves at 1,200 QuikTrip Locations

Convenience store shoppers across 23 states can now find Tres Picosos burritos at QuikTrip outlets. The Colorado-based company, known for its focus on high-filling ratios and bold recipes, has scaled its national footprint to meet rising consumer demand for premium, grab-and-go Mexican cuisine in the retail sector.

The expansion introduces top-selling varieties—including the Western Breakfast, Taco Beef, and Bacon burritos—to a massive retail network. By securing shelf space at QuikTrip, the brand is targeting high-consumption markets like Texas and Arizona, where demand for authentic Mexican flavors remains a significant driver of convenience store traffic.

Jane Hartgrove, the founder of the woman-owned business, noted that the move aligns with the shifting role of convenience stores as legitimate food destinations. Since 2005, the Colorado company has prioritized a higher filling-to-tortilla ratio, distinguishing itself from standard mass-market offerings. This distribution boost, supported by partners like Dot Foods and Kinexo, marks a strategic push to capture the all-daypart meal market.
