For festival attendees, the integration of Curve Pay allows for contactless transactions directly from the watch, removing the need for phones or wallets in crowded environments. This functionality operates across both Android and iOS platforms, prioritizing convenience during long summer events. Cyclists and hikers gain similar utility through Naviki and Komoot, which shift navigation cues from handlebar-mounted phones to wrist-based alerts, allowing users to maintain focus on their routes.
Running support has been segmented by user experience level. Performance-oriented athletes can leverage Intervals.icu and RacePace to sync physiological data like heart rate and sleep metrics, while those building consistency utilize Kotcha and URUNN for guided coaching and personalized training plans. Complementing these tools, the FIIT platform provides strength-building workouts to support overall conditioning. Huawei has also targeted the growing popularity of Padel in Europe by introducing Padel Point, an app that automates scorekeeping and tie-break management directly from the watch face.
This expansion is supported by Huawei’s push to onboard new developers through its Health Kit and AppGallery. To incentivize adoption, the company is bundling its wearables with multi-month subscriptions to the Health+ service and partner platforms including Komoot, Naviki, URUNN, and FIIT.
