This strain has shifted from a private household concern to a broader economic threat, with 43% of respondents admitting that rising costs have prompted them to consider relocating to another state.

Dr. Sybil Francis, Chair and CEO of the Center for the Future of Arizona, noted that the issue now directly impacts the state's workforce and long-term prosperity. The exodus risk is particularly acute among younger demographics, with 69% of voters aged 20–29 stating that living expenses are driving them to look elsewhere. As housing costs continue to squeeze middle-aged and younger residents, the data suggests that Arizona faces a looming challenge in retaining the talent necessary to sustain its economic competitiveness.
