By shifting focus toward direct-to-consumer channels, mobile game developer Nexters aims to bypass traditional platform constraints. The company has tapped Aghanim, a specialist in liveops and payments, to build out a global infrastructure capable of handling international transactions, AI-driven player engagement, and secure web-based game distribution.

This strategic alliance allows Nexters to move beyond standard mobile storefronts, establishing dedicated web hubs for its titles. Aghanim will provide the backend architecture, encompassing card network integration, local payment options, and automated liveops tools designed to personalize the player experience. For Nexters, which operates under the Nasdaq-listed GDEV Holding and reported $403.6 million in revenue for 2024, the move is a bid to capture higher margins and deepen long-term player retention.

Anton Reinhold, CEO of Nexters, credited Aghanim’s expertise at the intersection of fintech and gaming for the partnership, noting that it opens new horizons for the studio’s growth. Constantin Andry, Co-CEO of Aghanim, emphasized that the collaboration will help the developer navigate complex challenges like global fraud prevention and retention through a more resilient, scalable operating layer.
