Raiven 2.0 Brings Automated Procurement to Building Trades

Irvine-based procurement platform Raiven has launched Raiven 2.0, an agentic application designed to overhaul how contractors manage material sourcing. By integrating patented Best Value™ technology, the system automates quote collection and decision-making, aiming to replace fragmented spreadsheets and email chains with a centralized, rule-based purchasing environment.

For many building trades contractors, materials represent the second-largest expense after labor, yet procurement often remains stuck in manual, inefficient workflows. Raiven 2.0 addresses this by acting as an intelligent layer that evaluates more than just unit price. It factors in availability, freight costs, lead times, and supplier location, all while adhering to a company's specific internal buying policies. This approach is backed by U.S. Patent No. 12,327,222 B2.

Manoj Puthenveetil, CEO of Raiven, noted that the industry’s labor shortage makes margin improvement a necessity rather than a luxury. The platform allows procurement teams to distribute requests across their preferred network and receive normalized, actionable recommendations. Nashville-based Airstream Services is among the early adopters, utilizing the software to manage its rapid expansion.

Beyond basic sourcing, the platform functions as an Agentic Chief Procurement Office. It organizes supplier management and spend intelligence into a single interface, offering smaller contractors capabilities previously reserved for enterprise-level firms. Chairman of the Board Tracy K. Price stated that the release marks the culmination of four years of development, moving the company toward a future where labor and material costs are controlled with equal precision.
