Florida Inventor Designs Early Warning System for Residential Flooding

“I wanted to create a new warning system to detect high water levels outside of a residential home,” said the Port Charlotte inventor behind the Residential High Water Alarm System. By providing early notice of rising floodwaters, the device aims to give families sufficient time to evacuate before conditions become life-threatening.

The patent-pending system serves as an automated safeguard for properties situated in flash flood zones or low-lying areas. Its primary function is to detect encroaching water levels externally, triggering an alert that allows residents to secure their homes and relocate pets or family members before routes are compromised. The design prioritizes ease of installation, making it a practical addition for households vulnerable to sudden environmental shifts.

Currently, the invention is being represented by InventHelp’s Naples office and is available for licensing or acquisition by manufacturers. Those interested in the technical specifications or commercial potential of the device may contact the firm at 100 Beecham Drive, Pittsburgh, or via their primary submission services portal.
