Simpson’s mandate covers the bank's specialty lines, including asset-based lending, treasury services, and public finance. Rich Bradshaw, president and chief banking officer at United Community, noted that the hire reflects a push to leverage Simpson’s relationship-driven leadership to drive growth across the bank’s existing footprint. Prior to this appointment, Simpson held senior roles spanning private wealth management, retail, and business banking operations.
The executive holds an MBA from the University of Florida and a finance degree from Auburn University. His addition comes as United Community, a firm managing $29.1 billion in assets as of mid-2026, continues to expand its reach across the Southeast. Simpson expressed an intent to integrate with the bank's established commercial teams to refine financial service offerings and deepen client engagement.
