Lument Finance Trust Reports Q2 Loss and Announces Reverse Stock Split

Lument Finance Trust disclosed a net loss of $9.2 million for the second quarter of 2026, alongside a board-approved 1-for-10 reverse stock split. The move aims to bring the company back into compliance with New York Stock Exchange listing requirements and streamline its public trading market.

The reverse stock split is scheduled to become effective after the market closes on September 9, 2026. At that time, every ten outstanding shares of LFT common stock will consolidate into a single share. Trading on a split-adjusted basis is expected to begin on September 10, 2026, under the existing ticker symbol LFT, though the company will adopt a new CUSIP number. The adjustment will reduce the total number of outstanding shares from approximately 52.5 million to roughly 5.3 million.

For the quarter ending June 30, 2026, the company reported a GAAP net loss of $0.18 per share. Its distributable loss, a non-GAAP metric used to monitor portfolio performance and dividend potential, stood at $5.3 million, or $0.10 per share. Management stated the split will apply uniformly to all shareholders, with cash payments provided in lieu of fractional shares. Investors holding shares via brokers or nominees will see their positions updated automatically without needing to take action. Lument Finance Trust has scheduled a conference call for August 14 at 8:30 a.m. ET to discuss these financial results and the upcoming corporate transition.
