Futu Holdings Faces Securities Class Action Over Regulatory Compliance

Investors who incurred financial losses holding Futu Holdings Limited stock between May 2023 and May 2026 have until August 25, 2026, to seek lead plaintiff status in a securities fraud lawsuit. The litigation targets alleged misrepresentations regarding the company’s regulatory standing and operational transparency in mainland China.

The Law Offices of Frank R. Cruz filed the complaint, asserting that Futu Holdings misled shareholders by omitting critical details about its business practices. According to the filing, the company allegedly operated securities, public fund sales, and futures businesses within mainland China without securing the necessary government licenses or approvals from the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC).

Plaintiffs argue these omissions obscured significant risks, including the potential for regulatory penalties and the forced disgorgement of revenue. The suit claims that because these liabilities were hidden, the company’s reported financial results were artificially inflated, rendering public statements about its growth and operational health misleading. Shareholders interested in participating or reviewing their legal standing may contact the firm directly before the late-August deadline.
