Justice Family and Kennedy Lewis Finalize The Greenbrier Joint Venture

The Justice Family Group and Kennedy Lewis Investment Management have finalized a joint venture aimed at securing the long-term financial future of The Greenbrier. This partnership introduces fresh capital and strategic oversight to the historic West Virginia resort, which will maintain full operations throughout the transition process.

The deal establishes a new governance structure for the White Sulphur Springs property, with Kennedy Lewis appointing Lloyd Nathan as Chairman of the Board. Nathan, whose background includes a decade of leadership at MGM Resorts International, will oversee efforts to enhance the guest experience while preserving the resort's multi-generational appeal. David Chene, managing partner at Kennedy Lewis, noted that the collaboration merges the firm’s financial resources with the Justice family's local expertise.

Jill Justice emphasized that the agreement serves as a protective measure for the resort's status as a regional economic anchor. While the West Virginia Lottery Commission continues its review of the transaction, the agency has granted authorization for the resort to maintain uninterrupted casino operations. The facility remains open to guests, with all existing reservations, conferences, and scheduled events proceeding as planned.
