The vote marks a definitive step toward consolidating the two companies, with approximately 99% of Real shareholders and 78.8% of RE/MAX voting power backing the acquisition. Executives from both firms framed the move as a strategic expansion intended to provide greater scale for more than 180,000 real estate professionals globally.

Tamir Poleg, CEO of Real, stated the union aims to foster a more connected ecosystem, while RE/MAX Holdings CEO Erik Carlson emphasized that the deal preserves the brand’s long-standing entrepreneurial culture. Pending a final order from the Supreme Court of British Columbia, the companies expect to finalize the transaction in the coming weeks. Once complete, the combined entity will oversee a massive footprint spanning over 120 countries, leveraging a pro forma 2025 revenue of roughly $2.3 billion to accelerate investments in artificial intelligence and digital brokerage tools.
