Nocpix Nature Debuts Rovex Thermal Camera for Birdwatchers

A 5-inch display paired with AI-driven tracking defines the Rovex, a new handheld thermal camera from Nocpix Nature. Weighing less than 290 grams, the device aims to solve the perennial challenge of spotting wildlife in dense vegetation or low-light conditions by highlighting heat signatures across a wide field of view.

The Rovex is not intended to replace traditional binoculars, but to serve as a high-tech scout for birdwatchers and outdoor enthusiasts. Its 17.5° × 13.1° field of view allows users to scan expansive landscapes more efficiently than with narrow optics. By utilizing a 384 × 288 @ 12μm thermal sensor, the hardware cuts through complex backgrounds that often obscure camouflaged birds.

Advanced image processing, including smart denoising and R+ Super-Resolution, further isolates wildlife from environmental clutter. The integrated AI Smart Tracking feature directs the observer's attention toward potential heat sources, reducing the time spent scanning empty branches or foliage. This tool is specifically engineered for portability, ensuring that extended field sessions remain manageable for users navigating difficult terrain.
