Electrolux Professional Integrates PayRange Mobile Payment Technology

Laundry machines will soon feature native mobile payment capabilities through a new non-exclusive licensing agreement between PayRange and Electrolux Professional. This partnership allows manufacturers to embed payment software directly into equipment at the OEM level, eliminating the need for aftermarket hardware retrofits in commercial laundry settings.

The collaboration targets a shift toward software-driven laundry infrastructure. By integrating PayRange’s patented platform, Electrolux Professional aims to simplify operations for laundromats, universities, and multi-housing facilities. Paresh Patel, founder and CEO of PayRange, noted that the deal reflects a commitment to digital-first experiences for both operators and end users. For the consumer, this transition promises a move away from physical coins and cards in favor of app-based transactions. Jay Dixon, Head of Laundry for North America at Electrolux Professional, emphasized that the move is a central component of the company's broader digital transformation strategy in the North American market. While the financial specifics of the agreement remain undisclosed, the integration signals a wider industry trend toward native connectivity in unattended retail hardware.
