Stefan Pongratz, Vice President at Dell'Oro Group, noted that the transition from coverage-focused spending to capacity-driven investment is largely complete. While the recovery remains geographically fragmented and supplier performance varies, the overall market trajectory has leveled off. Huawei outperformed expectations this quarter, whereas Ericsson faced softer results than analysts had initially projected.
Despite these individual fluctuations, the competitive hierarchy remains firmly entrenched. The top five suppliers—Huawei, Ericsson, Nokia, ZTE, and Samsung—maintained their dominance, collectively commanding 96 percent of the market during the first half of 2026. Looking ahead, analysts maintain a flat revenue outlook for the full year, emphasizing that while the second quarter exceeded initial forecasts, supply-chain dynamics and shifting regional demand will continue to dictate the pace of the industry's recovery throughout the remainder of 2026.
