The acquisition brings a specialized product line into the HarperLove fold, including the LBX borax and caustic starch replacement, the CorrMax performance-enhancement additive series, and WaterGuard wet-strength resins. By absorbing these assets, the HBM Holdings portfolio company aims to leverage its existing manufacturing infrastructure to scale the reach of these chemistries.
Kenny Messer, President and CEO of HarperLove, described the move as a logical progression of the firm’s long-term growth strategy. While financial terms of the transaction remain confidential, the deal signals a focus on consolidating technical expertise to serve a wider client base. Integrating ChromaScape’s established relationships with HarperLove’s operational scale is expected to enhance service delivery for box makers currently relying on these specialized additives.
