The deal sees Oakley Capital acquire control from a consortium led by Integral Capital Group, which included PortfoLion Capital Partners, Carpathian Partners, and the EBRD. While financial details remain undisclosed, the investment signals a shift toward prioritizing data accuracy in corporate AI. Graphwise President Atanas Kiryakov will remain at the helm, working with the new owners to refine the company’s go-to-market strategy and pursue selective acquisitions.
Graphwise serves more than 200 blue-chip clients, providing a "semantic backbone" that anchors large language models in verified facts. This approach addresses common industry hurdles, specifically the high costs and factual inconsistencies inherent in standard AI deployments. By utilizing knowledge graphs, the platform allows businesses to reduce token consumption while improving the auditability of their AI agents. The company was established in 2024 via the merger of Ontotext and the Semantic Web Company, maintaining a consistent annual organic ARR growth of over 30%.
Market demand for such technology is rising as firms seek to mitigate AI hallucinations. Gartner projects that 40% of enterprises will adopt GraphRAG technology by 2029, citing potential accuracy improvements of up to 80% and cost reductions of up to 60%. As enterprises continue to pour capital into AI infrastructure, the partnership positions Graphwise to scale its operations across North America, Europe, and the Asia-Pacific region.
