The company’s board of directors raised the quarterly dividend to 48 cents per share, up from the previous 46 cents. This adjustment brings the regular annual payout to $1.92 per share. In addition to the recurring increase, CNA Financial declared a one-time $2.00 special dividend, underscoring a period of aggressive capital return.
Yield and Shareholder Distribution
According to the company, the combined regular and special dividends result in an annual yield of approximately 7.9%, calculated against Friday’s closing stock price of $49.83. This move positions the insurer as a high-yield option within the current financial services landscape.
Both the increased quarterly distribution and the special payout are scheduled for payment on March 12. To qualify for the distributions, investors must be shareholders of record by the close of business on Feb. 23.
