The new service functions as a concierge-managed extension of the airline’s core flight operations. By coordinating transfers, pet-optimized rest stops, and pre-vetted lodging, the company aims to maintain its high-touch service standards long before passengers reach the tarmac.
Clients can choose between two service tiers: the Express Route, which prioritizes speed and efficiency, and the Scenic Route, which utilizes private drivers, first-class rail, and ferries for a multi-day, leisure-focused itinerary.
Founder Jamie Everett explains that the goal is to detach the brand’s utility from specific flight paths. By leveraging hubs like Brussels, Vicuna Air can now facilitate travel to cities like Copenhagen, Stockholm, Oslo, and Hamburg, even though the airline does not operate direct flights to those locations. The initiative signals a shift for the premium carrier, moving from a niche aviation provider to a comprehensive, end-to-end travel partner for pet owners.
