City National Bank Marks 15 Years in Nashville with $90,000 in Grants

To commemorate 15 years of serving Nashville’s entertainment sector, City National Bank surprised six local nonprofits with $15,000 grants each. The $90,000 total investment, announced Thursday at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum, highlights the institution’s long-standing focus on music, healthcare, and youth education initiatives.

Since establishing its Nashville presence in 2011, the bank has integrated itself into the local music ecosystem, working closely with songwriters, record labels, and industry managers. The recipients of this anniversary funding include ACM Lifting Lives, the Alex LeVasseur Memorial Fund, and Leadership Music, alongside the Music Health Alliance, Musicians On Call, and the W.O. Smith Music School. These organizations represent the bank's broader strategy to support the cultural institutions that anchor the regional economy.

Lori Badgett and Diane Pearson, both senior vice presidents of Entertainment & Sports Banking, noted that the grants serve to honor the relationships cultivated since the branch first opened. As City National Bank continues to expand its footprint across the Southeast, leadership maintains that Nashville remains a primary cornerstone of its business model. The donation follows a significant year for the parent company, Royal Bank of Canada, which reported nearly $11 million in total charitable contributions across its markets in 2025.
