Construction is expected to span approximately one year, extending the company’s reach into Pine Hill, Lundbar Hills, and Rosewood. Public Works Director Kelly Allen noted that the expansion is vital for supporting remote work and regional economic growth. To incentivize early adoption, the company has introduced a referral program offering a free month of service to both existing and new subscribers.
Beyond technical deployment, the provider is emphasizing its local economic footprint through its subsidiary, Glass Roots Construction. This division has already filled 20 roles with Humboldt County residents. The company’s community engagement efforts also include a monthly "Golden Ticket" raffle for free annual service and a history of local charitable contributions, including $13,000 donated to nonprofits and fire services in 2025. Residents can track installation progress and service availability through monthly newsletters and the company’s online portal.
