Planet Fitness Faces Class Action Over Alleged Marketing Misstatements

Investors who purchased Planet Fitness shares between November 6, 2025, and May 6, 2026, are being urged to join a securities class action lawsuit. The filing alleges the gym operator misled the market regarding the effectiveness of its marketing campaigns and the implementation of its national Black Card price hikes.

The complaint, filed under the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, asserts that Planet Fitness significantly overstated its capacity to attract new members through existing promotional strategies. Furthermore, the company allegedly struggled to execute the rollout of its Black Card price increase, leaving public disclosures during the class period materially inaccurate. Investors have until September 14, 2026, to apply for lead plaintiff status.

The DJS Law Group, led by David J. Schwartz, is spearheading the litigation. Schwartz, a veteran in corporate governance and securities litigation, emphasizes the necessity of holding the company accountable for these financial disclosures. Shareholders who incurred losses during the specified period are encouraged to contact the firm to discuss potential recovery options, though participation as a lead plaintiff is not a prerequisite for securing a share of any eventual settlement.
