David Wise Brings Pinky's Junk Removal to Berks County

After two decades of building national franchises, Reading native David Wise is returning to his roots to launch Pinky's Junk Removal in Berks County. The entrepreneur aims to replace the impersonal nature of large chains with a community-focused service model centered on transparency and local reliability.

Wise spent years scaling six junk removal franchises before selling his interest to design a more personalized customer experience. He launched the independent brand Pinky's Junk Removal in Virginia’s Hampton Roads region, refining an operating model that handles everything from estate cleanouts to construction debris. Now, he is deploying that same framework within a five-mile radius of his childhood home in Mohnton.

His career includes recognition on the Inc. 5000 list and a 2012 honor as the U.S. Small Business Administration’s Small Business Person of the Year. Despite these accolades, Wise characterizes his work as a service for life transitions rather than simple waste management. Whether clearing out a garage or managing an estate following a death, he views the company as a provider of fresh starts for local families and businesses.
