The deal was structured through a combination of $74.9 million in cash and 9.5 million common units of Kimbell Royalty Operating, LLC, valued at $146.3 million. While the closing occurred in late August, Kimbell is entitled to all cash flow generated by the acquired assets retroactive to June 1, 2026.
These assets currently produce approximately 2,347 barrels of oil equivalent per day, comprising a mix of oil, natural gas liquids, and natural gas. The acquisition covers more than 29,000 gross producing wells located in high-value regions including the Permian Basin, Eagle Ford, Mid-Continent, and Appalachia. This move strengthens Kimbell’s footprint, which already spans 17 million gross acres across 28 states.
