Galileo Robotics Debuts Galileo X at WRC 2026

At the 2026 World Robot Conference in Beijing, Chinese robotics firm Galileo unveiled the Galileo X, a machine that collapses the distinction between wheeled transporters, off-road vehicles, and legged robots. The platform represents a shift toward unified ground mobility, merging indoor precision with the ability to navigate rugged, complex terrain.

The Galileo X operates on a proprietary Unified Embodied Ground Mobility System, which integrates hardware architecture with a single control framework. By bridging kinematic models that previously separated wheeled AGVs from quadrupedal systems, the platform manages end-to-end coordination across mechanics, perception, and actuation. This design allows for a versatile chassis capable of handling heavy-duty off-road logistics, warehouse navigation, and acting as a mobile base for humanoid units.

By consolidating these functions, Galileo aims to reduce the overhead associated with multi-device coordination and long-term maintenance. The company intends to open the hardware and software interfaces of the Galileo X to developers and industry partners, signaling a push toward a broader, platform-based ecosystem. This launch serves as a foundational step for Galileo's strategy to scale its multimodal mobility technology into global commercial markets.
