Global Trailer Tire Market Set to Hit $13.69 Billion by 2035

The market for ST-type trailer tires is poised for steady expansion, with valuations projected to climb from $8.8 billion in 2026 to $13.69 billion by 2035. Driven by a massive installed base of recreational vehicles and trailerable boats, the sector is seeing a fundamental shift toward performance-oriented radial construction.

North America remains the primary engine of this growth, commanding a 61.10% share of the global market. The region's extensive population of travel trailers, fifth wheels, and utility vehicles necessitates frequent tire replacements, a cycle accelerated by heat exposure, heavy load stress, and the natural aging of rubber components. Industry data suggests that the surge in RV ownership—with over 8 million households now in the U.S. owning such units—creates a durable, recurring demand for 14-inch to 16-inch tires.

Technological preferences are shifting as well. Consumers are increasingly moving away from traditional bias-ply tires in favor of radial options, which offer better heat dissipation, improved stability at highway speeds, and longer tread life. Michael Thompson, lead specialty tire analyst at Radial Insights, notes that buyers are prioritizing durability and load-range specifications over simple price comparisons. This evolution is mirrored in distribution channels, where e-commerce is rapidly outpacing traditional retail. Digital platforms now allow owners to filter products by specific technical requirements before coordinating with service networks for installation, further professionalizing the aftermarket experience.
