Mobile Communications America Acquires Arkansas Valley Communications

South Carolina-based Mobile Communications America has acquired Arkansas Valley Communications, a move that expands its Arkansas footprint from three to eight locations. The deal integrates AVC’s five-decade history in two-way radio services into MCA’s national network, signaling a push to consolidate regional technical expertise under a single corporate umbrella.

The acquisition brings AVC’s established hubs in North Little Rock, Jonesboro, Fayetteville, Fort Smith, and Russellville directly into the MCA fold. As a longtime Motorola Premier Partner, AVC has built its reputation on servicing the healthcare, construction, and manufacturing sectors. With more than half of its workforce dedicated to technical maintenance and field support, the company provides MCA with an immediate boost in regional service capacity.

For existing clients, the transition promises a broader service menu. While maintaining local relationships, customers will now gain access to MCA’s expanded portfolio, including video surveillance, access control, and mass notification systems. MCA CEO Vince Foody noted that the alignment of service-first cultures was the primary driver for the deal. AVC Vice President Dennis Shipley echoed this sentiment, framing the acquisition as a strategic step to secure the legacy of the Arkansas firm while leveraging national resources to meet evolving connectivity demands.
