A member of Toastmasters International District 59 since 2014, da Silva entered the organization to refine his communication structure. Beyond the stage, he operates as a consultant and TEDx speaker coach. He described the victory as a humbling tribute to the support provided by his family and regional community, marking the culmination of a long-term commitment to personal and professional development.
The competition concluded with Gurmeet Singh Gurcharan Singh taking second place for his speech "Good for Nothing," followed by Aaron Samson, who placed third with "The Chain." The event, held at the Vancouver Convention Centre, serves as the final stage of a rigorous process that begins at the club level and advances through multiple qualifying rounds. Da Silva now joins an elite group of past champions, intending to return to his training practice after celebrating his win with family.
