Camp Bow Wow Expands North Texas Footprint with New Franchise Deal

Trinity Shields and Abigale Freeman are bringing three new Camp Bow Wow locations to North Texas, targeting Weatherford, Burleson, and Granbury. This expansion utilizes the company's recently launched reduced-investment prototype, a model designed to lower startup costs by over $400,000 while streamlining site selection for franchisees.

The Fort Worth-based couple selected the pet care franchise after evaluating its operational systems and safety protocols. Their strategy focuses on establishing neighborhood hubs for daycare, boarding, and grooming services, with an initial launch planned for Weatherford. By leveraging the new prototype, the partners aim to scale their operations across multiple sites while maintaining the brand's established service standards.

Mark Jameson, chief development officer at parent company Propelled Brands, noted that the agreement reflects a broader shift toward more efficient franchise economics. The company, which currently operates over 225 units across North America, intends for this model to accelerate growth in suburban markets by providing a more accessible entry point for entrepreneurs. Beyond commercial operations, Shields and Freeman plan to integrate their facilities into the local animal welfare community through partnerships with veterinarians and area rescue organizations.
