Tamayo joins a prestigious cohort of 2026 inductees, including former Johnson & Johnson CEO James E. Burke, Hackensack Meridian Health CEO Robert C. Garrett, and the late philanthropist Geraldine R. Dodge. The selection process highlights figures who demonstrate exceptional service and influence within their respective fields.

Alexandra Genova, Director of Educational Programs at the NJHOF, described the upcoming ceremony as a tribute to those who shape the state’s legacy through excellence. NJEA President Steve Beatty echoed this sentiment, noting that Tamayo represents the standard of dedication expected of New Jersey educators. The public is invited to witness the induction at the Dream Live Performing Arts Center at American Dream, where the organization will celebrate this class alongside its history of over 260 previous honorees.
