Cresset Enters Boca Raton With $4 Billion Advisory Team

Cresset is planting a flag in Boca Raton, Florida, recruiting a 16-person advisory team previously managing $4 billion at UBS. Led by industry veterans Michael Bober and Ed Ventrice, the group brings decades of experience in wealth management, business succession, and institutional consulting to the independent firm.

The expansion signals a strategic push into South Florida, leveraging the team’s deep local roots and professional backgrounds as former Certified Public Accountants. Alongside Bober and Ventrice, the team includes Michael MacDonald, William "Billy" Marino, Sarah Ponczek, and Alex Santos. Their arrival bolsters Cresset's family office platform, which provides services ranging from private market investments to tax planning and medical concierge support.

Cresset CEO Susie Cranston noted that the firm prioritized the team's established presence in the Boca Raton community. For their part, the advisors cited the firm’s employee-owned, open-architecture model as the catalyst for the move, claiming it offers a more comprehensive, long-term perspective than their previous institutional environment. The transition allows the team to maintain their personalized advisory style while utilizing Cresset’s broader suite of multi-family office resources.
