If the system detects a disruption or an unexpected electrical inconsistency, it is engineered to instantly reduce the charging current to zero. This state persists until the platform confirms that all connections and operating conditions have returned to safe parameters.
Beyond consumer protection, the system is intended to assist dealers and service technicians by maintaining controlled electrical conditions during maintenance. Daniel Rathe, Chief Technology Officer at Vision Marine, noted that the value lies in the system's ability to react to anomalies in the background. The filing represents a strategic expansion of the company's intellectual property portfolio as it attempts to standardize safety across the E-Motion ecosystem, which integrates propulsion, cooling, and power management into a unified marine platform. The application is currently pending review by the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
