Tyfone Embeds Native AI into nFinia Banking Platform

Community financial institutions are fighting to keep customer conversations in-house as users increasingly adopt AI for money management. Portland-based Tyfone is responding with the launch of nFinia Reimagined, a platform that integrates its proprietary Fathom AI directly into the banking interface to prevent the drift of financial interactions to third-party tools.

The shift toward AI-driven finance is significant. According to the 2026 TD Bank AI Insights Report, 55% of Americans already utilize AI for financial tasks, yet they frequently rely on general-purpose chatbots rather than their own bank's applications. Tyfone’s strategy aims to reverse this trend by grounding AI responses in the specific products, policies, and account data of the local institution.

iTHINK Financial will become the first to deploy this technology, with a live launch scheduled for this fall. CEO Michael Miller stated the goal is to keep member conversations within the trusted environment of their financial institution. By weaving Fathom into the core of nFinia, Tyfone allows users to transition from natural language queries to direct financial actions without leaving the secure banking ecosystem. The platform maintains institutional control, ensuring that all AI interactions remain compliant with existing security protocols and data isolation requirements.
