The exhibition, For Gold & Glory, seeks to correct a long-standing omission in American motorsports history. Curated by former General Motors global design leader Ed Welburn, the show highlights Wiggins as a brilliant mechanic and innovator who thrived despite the systemic barriers faced by Black drivers in a segregated America. Through artifacts, immersive sound design, and historical imagery, the museum reconstructs the vibrant world of Indiana Avenue, where Wiggins secured four major championships.

The centerpiece of the exhibition is the original Wiggins Special, a one-of-a-kind vehicle that has been recovered and restored specifically for this premiere. Welburn, who has spent years championing Wiggins’ legacy, views the project as a personal mission to transform how the public understands automotive heritage. The opening week includes a series of private previews and media events beginning September 11, culminating in a public celebration on September 19 that coincides with the museum's Family STEAM Day.
