Colton brings over 25 years of leadership to the role, most recently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Axios Media. During her tenure there, she managed the technical integration for the company’s $525 million acquisition by Cox Enterprises and pioneered the deployment of AI tools within editorial and commercial workflows. Her mandate at Convene involves scaling the engineering and data functions to support the company’s expansion across its U.S. and UK locations.

CEO Ryan Simonetti emphasized that the appointment is intended to sharpen the group's precision in data utilization and digital innovation. Colton intends to position technology as a primary driver of the guest experience, focusing on intuitive tools that balance operational efficiency with long-term commercial growth. She holds a Master of Science from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland.
