Founded in 1994 by Lawrence Farrar, Resodyn specializes in ResonantAcoustic Mixing systems. The technology uses low-frequency, high-intensity acoustic energy to blend materials up to 100 times faster than conventional methods. These systems are currently utilized in over 40 countries, serving sectors ranging from aerospace and defense to pharmaceutical production and battery energy storage. Under the terms of the acquisition, Farrar will transition from his role as President and CEO to Chief Technology Officer, retaining a significant stake in the company.
Continuim plans to deploy its proprietary Efficiency Driven Growth Engine playbook to expand Resodyn’s manufacturing capacity and reach. George Pilafas, Managing Partner at Continuim, noted that the partnership reflects the firm’s focus on long-term stewardship for founder-led industrial businesses. For his part, Farrar cited the need for expanded resources to broaden the company’s commercial footprint as the primary driver for the deal. Liberty Ridge Advisors served as the financial advisor for the transaction.
