Ford brings three decades of experience spanning finance and federal politics to the Truist Operating Council. Before this appointment, he served as executive vice president and regional president for New York at PNC Financial Services Group, following senior leadership tenures at Merrill Lynch and Morgan Stanley. His transition to Truist marks a strategic move to leverage his extensive network, which includes his decade-long service representing Tennessee’s 9th Congressional District.

Beyond his corporate background, Ford maintains an active presence in public policy and academia, having taught at the University of Michigan, New York University, and Vanderbilt University. He currently holds board positions at CME Group and SIGA Technologies. Lesher noted that his dual expertise in financial services and government will be instrumental in helping the firm’s commercial and high-net-worth clients navigate complex growth objectives.
