With the manga series already boasting a circulation of 4 million copies, the anime adaptation is positioning itself as a major project for studio Cypic. Director Tetsuya Takeuchi, known for his work on Heavenly Delusion, leads a production team tasked with translating Takeru Hokazono’s gritty, sword-focused narrative to the screen. The protagonist, Chihiro Rokuhira, will be voiced by 2025 Seiyu Award winner Taihi Kimura.

Ito described her approach to Hinao as a balance between natural conversation and comedic flair, aiming to make the character's "Cafe Haru Haru" a sanctuary within the series' darker world. Meanwhile, Nemoto admitted to a mix of anxiety and excitement during the casting process for Char, noting the character's deceptive energy despite the heavy burden she carries. Both actresses emphasized the series' unique blend of traditional Japanese aesthetic and modern, high-stakes action as the primary draw for the upcoming adaptation.
