The R2 vehicle integrates 33 specialized sensors and a triple-domain fusion computing platform, designed to navigate dense city traffic with higher perception accuracy. Safety specifications meet both C-NCAP and Euro NCAP five-star standards, supported by a multi-layer redundancy system. Following public-road testing across Shenzhen, Guangzhou, and Beijing since January, the model is now cleared for passenger use without a human operator behind the wheel.
Inside the cabin, DiDi has prioritized passenger comfort by expanding rear space and installing 17.3-inch entertainment screens. The vehicle features an AI-driven voice interface that handles tasks ranging from PIN verification to climate control and window adjustments. Future updates will introduce external interaction displays and customizable cabin settings to further refine the user experience as the company scales its autonomous fleet operations.
