YFORE Launches Georgia Production Line for Anti-Pinch Safety Systems

A 5-millisecond detection cycle now defines vehicle safety in Suwanee, Georgia, where YFORE Technology has officially opened a new facility. The Tier-1 supplier is shifting to near-shore manufacturing to provide North American automakers with high-speed tactile sensors designed to prevent injuries from automated doors, frunks, and smart liftgates.

The facility marks a strategic pivot toward localizing the production of closure sensing systems, which are increasingly critical as powered vehicle components become standard. YFORE’s technology relies on proprietary touch algorithms that trigger door reversal or halt cinching the moment physical contact occurs, effectively creating a dual-layer safety net alongside existing motor torque feedback mechanisms.

These flexible sensing strips are designed to eliminate blind spots across sealing edges, with compact electronic control units embedded directly into door panels. The system boasts an activation success rate exceeding 99.9% while maintaining a false trigger rate below 0.5%. Certified to IP67 standards, the hardware is built to endure harsh environmental variables, including extreme temperature shifts and high-pressure washing. Integration is supported through high-speed CAN FD communication, allowing for seamless adoption by OEMs and enabling continuous diagnostic refinements via over-the-air updates.
