Corvex Secures $33 Million to Scale AI Infrastructure Fivefold

Arlington-based AI infrastructure provider Corvex is moving to quintuple its power capacity by the end of 2026, backing the expansion with a $33 million private placement. The project will leverage existing data centers to house 3,000 new high-performance GPUs, positioning the firm to capture growing demand for AI compute services.

The expansion strategy centers on doubling capacity at the company's Mid-Atlantic facility while launching operations at a new Midwest site. By the fourth quarter of 2026, these deployments are expected to lift Corvex's critical IT power capacity from 1.5 MW to 8 MW. Beyond the initial rollout, the company holds a right of first refusal on an additional 12.5 MW at the Midwest location, creating a potential pathway to 20 MW of total capacity by late 2027.

Funding for the initiative comes from a private placement involving institutional investors, with Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Oppenheimer & Co. serving as lead placement agents. Co-CEO Jay Crystal noted that securing energized, ready-to-use power is the primary bottleneck in the current AI landscape. The company intends to allocate the capital not only to hardware infrastructure but also to its proprietary Token Factory and Assured AI platforms. These tools are designed to provide secure, cost-effective inference capabilities, allowing enterprise clients to run open-source models while maintaining strict data privacy protocols.
