Drawing on decades of experience in the classroom, Burnette structured the volume to feature the stories of Zacchaeus, the healing of the lame man, and Jesus’ post-resurrection appearance. Burnette noted that her focus remains on creating accessible content that allows children to engage with the material without the frustration often encountered by struggling readers.
