Ontario International Airport Secures Four-Year Workplace Milestone

Ninety-three percent of staff at Ontario International Airport now identify their workplace as a top-tier environment, marking the fourth consecutive year the facility has secured Great Place to Work certification. The ranking arrives as the airport commemorates a full decade under local ownership and operational control.

The 2026 Trust Index Survey results underscore a corporate culture built on internal rapport, with employees awarding an 86% positive rating across metrics of trust, pride, and camaraderie. Angela Lauber-Conroy, senior vice president and chief people officer for the Ontario International Airport Authority, attributed this consistency to a collective commitment to mutual respect. She noted that when staff feel empowered, the resulting service quality directly benefits the airport’s growing passenger base.

Specific survey data reveals high internal cohesion: 99% of respondents report that colleagues celebrate special events together, while 97% confirm that new hires receive a warm welcome. Safety remains a priority, with 96% of the workforce citing a secure physical environment. This stability coincides with a period of significant expansion; since transitioning to local control in 2016, the airport has increased its annual passenger volume from 4.3 million to over 7 million. These figures reflect a broader trend of operational growth for the hub, which now provides nonstop service to two dozen destinations across the U.S., Mexico, Central America, and Taiwan.
