As of August 30, 2026, the Norwalk-based company holds 5.9 million Ethereum tokens, alongside $541 million in cash and marketable securities and strategic investments in firms like Eightco Holdings. The firm’s aggressive accumulation strategy, which has seen it purchase Ethereum every week for 65 consecutive weeks, is currently supported by a high-profile roster of institutional backers, including ARK’s Cathie Wood and Founders Fund.
Chairman Thomas Lee attributed the firm’s performance to Ethereum’s status as a top macro asset in the third quarter of 2026. Beyond simple accumulation, Bitmine is leveraging its MAVAN platform to stake over 5 million of its tokens. With an annualized staking revenue projection of $335 million, the company is positioning itself as a central infrastructure provider for institutional investors. Lee maintains that the upcoming legislative landscape and the rise of agentic-AI will further drive institutional capital into blockchain assets, echoing the modernization of Wall Street following the 1971 shift away from the gold standard.
