Visual One Intelligence Secures FinOps Foundation Certification

The FinOps Foundation has officially recognized Visual One Intelligence as a certified platform, validating its ability to apply rigorous cost-management frameworks to hybrid and on-premises IT environments. This distinction marks a shift for enterprises struggling to reconcile fragmented spending data across private infrastructure and public cloud providers.

Most modern organizations operate across a complex mix of hyperscalers, colocation facilities, and local hardware. While many FinOps tools focus exclusively on public cloud environments, this leaves IT leaders managing significant blind spots. By meeting the Foundation’s 90 percent threshold for capability criteria, Visual One Intelligence now offers a standardized approach to tracking costs across the entire technology estate. The evaluation process required documented proof of expertise, including a staff roster of certified practitioners and analysts, alongside a rigorous review of features ranging from anomaly detection to unit economics.

Phil Godwin, President and COO, noted that the certification proves hybrid coverage and financial rigor are not mutually exclusive. For teams, this integration means moving away from manual spreadsheet reconciliation toward a unified schema. By supporting the FOCUS specification, the platform allows users to query billed and amortized costs through a single set of dimensions, regardless of where the infrastructure resides. Jeff Symons, Senior VP of Product, emphasized that this alignment is central to the platform's architecture rather than an afterthought, enabling consistent data normalization across disparate vendor reports.
