The system operates by cryptographically binding an individual’s identity attributes to their unique 3D biometric face vector, effectively eliminating reliance on vulnerable, static credentials. Because the data is digitally signed and stored within the code itself, verification can occur offline without the need to query a centralized database. This architecture prevents credential sharing and ensures that lost or stolen IDs cannot be replicated by unauthorized parties.

Law enforcement agencies are already integrating these codes into active-duty and retiree credentials to facilitate instant verification across jurisdictional lines. Perhaps most notably, Project Lifesaver International has adopted the technology to assist vulnerable populations. By placing UR Codes on bracelets and clothing, first responders can perform a live biometric scan of a disoriented individual to access contact information and reunite them with caretakers.
